whoever said farewells were easy?

i met up with debbie, meixiu and rachel on friday for prata house. haha everyone was close to an hour late except meixiu. haha we ate like pigs, seriously, that's probably one of the few times i'm eating lesser than the rest, save for my murtabak size mushroom cheese egg prata. HAHA and i had like the four seasons durian pancake. haha and i was commenting its scary how i'm only abt 4 yrs older than them, but i alr look like an auntie as compared to them. in the sense that, at 19 i alr feel so old, what more when i'm 40? shudders. anw it was really nice going on a eating spree with them and just talking and laughing [loudly]. will miss ur!

yet another farewell. this one not so much of a surprise [due to technical glitches and unforseen circumstances =P] but it was really sweet.


i had a Sheffield pre departure gathering before that so i joined them later. the pre-departure gathering was well ...... . i met up with Robynn before the thing though at Island Creamery and i had my apple pie ice cream. GOOD GOOD GOOD and we talked abt handphones and medowhall [shopping] and boots :)


yupp so i left the person's house at 9 to cab down to Holland Village to meet the usuals at Tango's. and they started the farewell with a rehearsed "performance" featuring Pang Ngiau. hahaha it was damn funny and sweet of them. haha and they gave me my webcam! woohoo, its a creative Live! notebook pro. installed it this morning and tried it out a little. still figuring out with the mike though =/ but yay! i can webcam with my friends there! of coz what was giving me a webcam without the usual swipes abt the "auto-foccusing function" of my webcam and how they'll flash CHEEKS CHEEKS!!! -scowl-


apart from the webcam, they gave me a photo album [done exclusively by jaslyn and it was yellow!] with all our photos inside and notes from the rest. i went home and slowly read the notes and the small captions inside, like warnings to me to NOT let my cheeks swell, how roy's forehead resembled the light bulb. i'm so going to bring the album there.


and i said my farewells to all the guys yesterday, coz they'll all be in camp when i leave =/ it's weird saying this, but i'm going to miss the swipes, the suanings, the EATING, the fun, the laughter [mbbe not pn's cold jokes =P] and in almost all of their notes, they called me a walking food directory. haha..

no more camwhoring partners. no more sat dinners/suppers and exclaiming how we have to wake up on sun morning to jog off the calories, no more giving the we're-all-bored-of-ur-army-talks to each other. i'll miss you loads, jaslyn & jj.

the mahjong kahkis. the sgoon kids (hougang, sengkang and kovan as well :)]. the cabbing buddies. the tuition people. the chomps/rk house makan kahkis. i'm seriously going to miss ur loads and loads and loads and loads. without your, my past 8 months of holidays would never have been so enjoyable, so fun filled. thanx for all the fun times, the advice while i was trying to decide which uni to go to [at hkcafe i remember clearly], the encouragements as i'm about to leave, telling me that although life might seem horrible the first week, things will get better. i'll definitely remember this. oh and thanx for the "xiao san yuan" :)

last week, i had church farewell. and this week i'm trying to stay at home to pack my luggage. but i can't even get past the first stage of packing my stuff for my 1st orientation =/ and all my clothes cover the entire area of a double bed, not including my shoes and bags and books etc. and i managed to buy my sports shoes [coz the sole of the old pair came out]. it's yellow again! yay! haha and bought my stationary. oh and i went back to return my new pair of contact lenses =/ they were really uncomfortable, so now i'd have to wait till dec when i'm back to wear my new lenses. hopefully my current one would last me till then, given the power is half that required =/

ok i'm off to pack before i seriously regret.
